Hayden is a member of Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA), The Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) and The Sports Nutrition Association (SNA). He is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES) after completing an Undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) 2015-2019.
Through experience in volunteer work and placement opportunities he has developed skills in exercise prescription for a vast array of patient pathologies including cardiovascular, metabolic, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Through a client centred approach to exercise prescription and education, he has an intention to help others attain better control over the determinants of their health, allowing them to achieve better health outcomes long term.
From 2020-2022, Hayden completed a Masters degree in High Performance Sport (MHPS) at the Australian Catholic University (ACU). Coming from a sporting background and competitive bodybuilding career he has developed a passion for physical activity and resistance training. Working with the New South Wales Waratahs Generation Blue Youth Performance Program and Wallaroos Australian Female Rugby Union Squad gave Hayden an opportunity to apply the core principles of strength and conditioning.
Through his studies and experience with Diabetes NSW & ACT Hayden developed a keen interest in working with individuals/athletes living with type 1 diabetes better manage their condition. He is currently employed with Diabetes Australia as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist whilst completing my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Newcastle, where he also employed in a casual research assistant role.

Hayden is a member of the Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity (ASPA) within the School-Based Physical Activity, Scaling Up Physical Activity and Physical Literacy Special Interest Groups, along with being a prominent figure of the Early Career Network (ECN).
Hayden is also a member of the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) Student Society (HSS) and Active Living Research Program.
Granted an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship, his research has been conducted through the Centre for Active Living and Learning (CALL) at the University of Newcastle.
